Visiting Eureka! without children

Visiting Eureka! without children

Information for people wanting to visit Eureka! either alone or as part of a group that doesn't include children

We sometimes get adults who want to visit Eureka! alone or as part of a group with other adults.

If you’d like to visit without a child, you must contact us beforehand to discuss the reasons for your visit. This is part of our security and child protection policies. We complete a risk assessment for all lone adults or adult-only groups wishing to visit Eureka! As part of this, you will be asked to provide information about your group and the reasons for your visit.

If you’re planning to visit as a lone adult or as part of an adult-only group, including adults with learning disabilities, please contact us on 01422 330069 or email info@eureka.org.uk at least 7 days before your visit. You will not be able to visit Eureka! without prior agreement.

If you want to come to Eureka! to reminisce or just explore our museum without children, you’re welcome to do so during one of our regular adults-only Lates evenings, which we’re bringing back in 2024. Keep an eye out for them in our What’s on section, or you can be the first to hear about upcoming adults-only events by subscribing to our Lates email list.

What about the museum grounds?

Adults are welcome in our grounds, though you must adhere to our site rules, including:

  • No smoking, including all e-cigarettes
  • No dogs, apart from support dogs
  • No alcohol consumption, or other anti-social behaviours
  • No photography without permission

For more information about our safeguarding policies, please email Sarah Lister, HR Manager.
