BSL with Leanne – signs for friends, family and around your home

Leanne's back to show us some more British Sign Language, or BSL, and this time she shows us some useful signs for friends, families, and stuff around our homes!

Learn to communicate in a different way. Watch our staff member Leanne and be inspired to have a go at signing!

As well as working at Eureka! as a Visitor Services Assistant Manager, Leanne is currently studying for her level 3 in BSL. She also trains staff to learn some basic signs to help make the museum inclusive.

Sign Language is a visual means of communicating using gestures, facial expressions, and body language. It’s used mainly by people who are Deaf or have hearing impairments. If you’d like to find out more about this amazing language, check out the BSL website.
