Hopefully regular visitors will now all be aware of the innovative, changing programme of exhibitions in our spark gallery!
We’ve been wowed by digiPlaySpace, met the brilliant Brave Boy Billy, created our own worlds using VR and Minecraft and, most recently, been awed by Fusion, Adventures in digital art – created with the brilliant team at The Lumen Prize for Digital Art.
For the next few weeks, our Spark gallery is closed while we work away on exhibition changeover, to bring you the next installment in our Spark gallery programme. More on that in just a mo…
Fusion: Adventures in digital art
digiPlaySpace, created by TIFF!
So, what’s coming next?
We’re really excited to be working with IOU Theatre, fellow Haligonians (people based in Halifax – in case you didn’t know!) who create live shows and contemporary art installations, to bring you a brand new experience: Patternarium!
In Patternarium, children will get to manipulate machines, pedal bikes and move robotic arms to create mesmerising light patterns and shapes. Patternarium will open in our Spark gallery on Saturday 15th December – and trust us: it’ll be worth the wait!
We’re incredibly grateful to Arts Council England for supporting Patternarium.
If you’re visiting in the meantime, please bear with us while we get Patternarium ready for you – we just know you’re going to love it!
