Play when doing chores

Shooting baskets

When tidying the bedroom, place out 3 or 4 baskets or boxes – one for clothes, one for rubbish, one for toys. Take the object that belongs to the basket and throw it inside. If it goes in score 5 points, if it doesn’t lose 5 points. See who can get the best score.

Play when getting ready for bed

Bedtime hop scotch

Lay their bedtime clothes and favourite bedtime book and toy out on the floor from their bedroom to another room and they have to land on or near the item before they can pick it up and put it on. If there’s more than 1 child it could be made into a race.
