Outreach

We understand that for some schools making a visit to Eureka! may not always be feasible, so... if you can’t come to us – we can come to you!

Eureka! Splash workshop

Building on the success of nearly two decades of innovative learning opportunities, we have developed a number of programmes which can be delivered in the comfort of your school hall. Let us take the stress out of organising a school visit by bringing the Eureka! experience to you.

All of our Outreach programmes are delivered by two CRB checked Eureka! enablers and are supported with an information pack for teachers and children.

Science Shows

Our Science shows are ideal for inspiring young and enquiring minds, enhancing creative curriculum themes and events in your school.

Lasting 45mins, they can be performed to up to 70 pupils at a time and include lots of inspiring demonstrations and audience participation.

Splash!

KS1 and KS2

Splash! looks at all things water related - where it comes from, some of its properties, fun things that you can do with it and the importance of saving water.

Feel the Force!

KS2
Featuring special guest Ted the astronaut bear and explores different types of forces, demonstrating what they are and why they are so important.

From the Chew to the Poo!

KS2
Learn about the digestive system through the journey of a banana and peanut butter sandwich and discover how important vitamins are to our health.

Interactive Workshops

These workshops are perfect for enhancing health and well being topics for KS2 pupils. Sessions last 1 hour and are limited to 35 children per session.

Scurvy Sam

Years 5 & 6

Led by Scurvy Sam and Dr Lind this fun and practical session looks at the effects of a poor diet in an historical and contemporary context and how important vitamins are to health.

Jump to the Beat

KS2

This fun and active session will keep children on their toes as they take part in fun and interactive games focusing on heart health and the effects of a balanced diet and regular activity.

Out of School Clubs

Eureka! Explores is delivered at your school as part of an after school club or in the holidays and is based on a programme of six themed, interactive sessions including School for Clowns, Rocket Engineers, Food Science and Fitness, Pirates, Mardis Gras Creative Arts and Story Seekers.Eureka! Explores is delivered by two CRB checked Eureka! enablers and costs £6 per child per session. Click here for more information.

Capacity

  • The sessions be performed up to four times a day, depending on your school timetable and availability of the school hall, so potentially 280 pupils could see a show in one day!
