Aimed at children aged 5 - 8, the programme consists of six hour-long sessions delivered at the end of the school day. Eureka! Explores sessions are delivered by two of our excellent and fully CRB checked Eureka! Enablers.

Taster Assemblies
New for 2010/2011, Eureka! offers a 15-20 minute taster presentation for school assemblies. We will arrange for two Enablers to visit your school assembly to give a quick taste of what the children can expect from Eureka! Explores and each child is given a booking form to take home.
After-school Programmes
Each Eureka! Explores session is based on a different theme that is fun, creative and will bring different elements of the curriculum to life.
Sessions include:
- School for Clowns: Learn about gravity and centrifuge while 'clowning around'.
- Up, Up and Away: Get on track to being a Rocket Scientist as you learn about chemical reactions.
- Fit for Fun: Healthy lifestyles and the science behind food are the focus of this session, where you can follow a banana sandwich all the way through the digestive tract!
- Mardis Gras: It's carnival time! Learn some rhythms and percussion and find out about sound waves and vibrations.
- Pirates Ahoy!: Climb the rigging, scrub the decks and look out! Not just for sharks, but for the dread disease scurvy, as you explore the importance of a healthy diet.
- Story Seekers: Build confidence and improvisational skills as you learn to tell stories, that come from you--not a book.
Each session includes a 'Make and Take' activity for children to complete at home that ties into the themes and activities covered during a Eureka! Explores afternoon.
During the final session of Eureka! Explores, children will receive a pack which includes: a certificate from Eureka!, a child's ticket to the museum and a gift for the child to take home with them. The pack also includes an evaluation form for the children to fill out with their parents, allowing feedback on the sessions and any other comments they want to make. A freepost address is provided to return the evaluation to Eureka!.
