Whether you are seeking an original location for a product launch, conference, seminar or family fun day, Eureka! The National Children’s Museum is a stimulating and inspirational setting.

We are a convenient and fully accessible venue, situated right next to Halifax train station, with over 500 free car parking spaces for business guests. We have excellent road and rail links to Leeds, Manchester, as well as other popular cities and destinations.

Our spaces:

The 1855 Building

A great platform for your event, literally! Based in the former Halifax train station, the 1855 Building is a versatile, light and airy space, comprising of:

• The Ticket Hall - reception area.
• Meeting Space - seminar space, refreshment area and breakout rooms. Capacity: 40 people.
• The Conservatory - a grand space, ideal for networking events, product launches and a whole host of other purposes. Capacity: 150 people.
• The Club Hub - self-contained space including a kitchen. Great for society/club meetings, workshops and training events. Capacity: 20 people.

The Theatre

Located inside the museum itself, the Theatre can comfortably seat 100 people. With fully integrated AV and air conditioning, the Theatre is perfect for a wide range of events.

Town Square and Galleries

The Eureka! Town Square offers an ideal platform for public speaking, project launches, presentations and hospitality. The Town Square is traditional communal area in the heart of the museum, set around a musical fountain. Our interactive galleries can also be used to highlight themes and create a specific atmosphere. Exhibition space can also be provided as part of your event.

Museum capacity: 1500 people

• Catering: From canapés and buffet lunches, to business breakfasts and black-tie dinners, our in-house catering and restaurant team can provide a range of menus to suit every occasion and budget.
