By the time you read this Alex will have reluctantly started at his “big” school. When I began to sell him the idea of moving I told him he would learn to read books and write stories – his answer was that Vanessa can do that really well so he could stay and she can teach him! He has been attending nursery since he was a couple of months old (as did his older brother Kai before him) and he has loved every minute in all of the different rooms. Pre School has been a favourite with Alex and he loves all of the different activities and “missions” that the staff create. The show and tell with colours and letters has had all of the family involved with trying to find items for him to take in. Tasks like bringing Tiny Bear home really captured Alex’s imagination and he still has the photos up in his bedroom.

Choosing a nursery is almost like finding surrogate parents and the moment we came for our first visit (after visiting 12 other nurseries) we instantly knew it was the place for our children. Eureka has given our kids the absolute best start in life and it has been an emotional couple of weeks leading up to Alex leaving. He loved all of the staff and we will miss the relationships that we had with them all (especially Vanessa and Kelly). He is adamant, however, that he is coming back to the Den so we will be seeing you all in the holidays.

Going back to work full-time dictated that we would have to put Thea in childcare full-time; the decision was made almost overnight. Everyone at Eureka! Nursery seemed to make Thea’s transition their priority, she knew everyone’s names in no time and barely looked up when Daddy or I left. She has developed so rapidly and her confidence has grown ten fold. Her speech improved in a matter of days; she now eats all sorts of different foods daily – and can tell us when she needs the loo! Any issues have been quickly and sensitively resolved and her daily report lets us know she is happy and cared for, and offers us real peace of mind. Thea now complains when we drive past on a weekend because we are not taking her to ‘school’.

Tilly started attending Eureka! nursery in October 2008 and come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are lovely and take good care of her and she loves coming to nursery to play with her little chums. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Eureka! to anyone looking to put their child into nursery.
